So we got it all set up. We put it in the water and would die after less than 30 seconds, and would not shift out of drive. Adam and I took the engine apart and found a pile of metal. The first photo is some of that pile. I assume this is why we were having the issues. The next few photos are of the gears. They had chunks and teeth taken out.
The gearcase is now in several buckets.
Today we recieved the first of several shipments. This one has out new used gears.
