CARPET IS IN! AND WE ARE LOVING IT!

"EXTRA PROJECTS"

YOU EVER START DOING SOMETHING, AND IN THE BACK OF YOUR MIND THINK....GEE, MAYBE I SHOULDN'T BE DOING THIS RIGHT NOW.....OR......OH IT IS A SMALL PROJECT, IT WONT TAKE LONG....I THOUGHT BOTH THOSE THINGS AS I STARTED THIS LITTLE JEM....
THE IDEA WHAT THAT I WOULD CHANGE THE TILE IN ONE OF THE BATHROOMS. IT ENDED UP THAT WATER HAS BEEN LEAKING BEHIND THE TILE FOR YEARS...AND YEARS...AND YEARS. SO IT ALL CAME OUT. AND I FIGURED SINCE I WAS GOING ALL OUT ON IT, I MIGHT AS WELL REPLACE THE AGEING TUB TOO. IT HAD TO COME OUT IN 2 PARTS.
ANSON BECAME EXTREMELY UPSET TO SEE THAT HIS SPIDERMAN BATHROOM WAS "BROKEN"

PART 25, SEPTEMBER 6, 2006

THE "WOOD" FLOOR HAS BEEN PUT DOWN, THE RAILING HAS BEEN INSTALLED, AND THE ENTERTAINMENT CENTER HAS BEEN FINISHED. THE KIDS HAVE BEEN RUNNING ALL OVER THE PLACE HAVING FUN NOW THAT IT IS SAFE FOR THEM TO DO SO.

Well, we got all the wood for the trim sanded, cut and an edge put on it. it all then got numbered on the back. all the wood then got a spray of sanding sealer, and 2 sprays of finish. it had to sit in this trailer to dry in between coats.

PART 22, April 22, 2008

We are getting ready for SOD! it has been a LONG HARD process, but we are almost done landscaping the way we want it. Last Saturday i spent a good part of the day getting the last 2 stumps of the 7 trees we lost. It was not a pretty sight, nor was I.

PART 21, April 22, 2008

Lets see........got done with the mud on the walls. We primed the walls, and got the color up. The doors are in place and the lights are installed. Don't ask me what color it is, I hope by the pictures you can tell for yourself, the green or blue one is in the bathroom. Not sure how Lorin got in there, but i didn't have the heart to delete her.

BIRTHDAY

Well, another birthday has come and gone. Mom did the 30 cards (well 32 in all) in about 30 days. It was fun, Anson got a kick out of all the cards that would come. When i got home from work, it wasn't "hi dad", it was, OPEN CARDS DAD! Here are a few of my fav's.

PART 20 January 30, 2008

Ok so at this point we are a little overjoyed at what has been done! We have insulated all the walls. Drywall has gone UP. The overhead power line has come down. We have POWER inside! The jetted tub is in place and working (for the second time; the first tub had a few leaks and is now thrown outside in the snow). The shower and floors are ready for tile. The heating and air are in place, but not working yet, that

should only take another day to get working. And the entertainment center has started to emerge in the corner.

It has been a long time coming, and really feels good with having walls up and power to the inside.
